So, I tend to frequent many fast food joints, and have noticed a weird trend. At Wendy's and McDonalds if you ask for an extra sauce such as mac sauce or ketchup and vinegar, they act put out and give a handful of said sauce packets to you in a huff.

Tonight I wanted some big mac sauce for my burger so I went back and asked. I receive 4 pacets of the stuff... I love mac sauce, but what am I gonna do with 4 packets. Same with vinegar, Wendy's recently stopped putting it out with the other condiments. I asked for some vinegar, they gave me 5 packets. Maybe if I was cleaning a coffee maker, I'd need that much, but for fries, I usually don't use a full packet.

I find it strange that by wanting plastic bags, we are killing the environment and are now penalized for that at local grocery stores. But at fast food joints, they are practically throwing away good condiments. They should be penalized. Or something.

Having worked in "fast food" I know that the bosses bitch about the bottom line and tell employees how much stuff to give everyone. When someone asks for more we'd just randomly shove our hands in the box and give you whatever comes out... fast food employees don't give a rat's behind about the bottom line.

Plus, if I go to Arby's and ask for more Arby's sauce and they only hand me one or two... I keep asking until they fill up my tray.
